Their Loving Angel writes:

Hello,
I was hoping you could help me. I rescued a very pregnant shepherd the day before mothers day.  Her name is Sylbee. She is silver and black. When she came home with me she had a lot of issues. The previous owner said she was stolen from him and had just come back that morning, but I believe that he always let her run, since she tries to leave the yard when she can and I also believe he was a small time puppy mill he had quite a few dogs in some in kennels outside, a lot were untrained, some came from the house. He said he didn't want her. Sylbee was completely untrained.

She was sick with diarrhea and kept crying out whenever you touched her. Especially her muzzle and nose. I took her to my vet and she had whip worms and tape worms. I was given medicine for that. I tried to get a rabies shot but they refused since she was close to having the pups. They also said she looked fairly healthy , they did not know why she was crying and that she was about 1 1/2 years old. She was never trained, did not know what a leash was or a collar, never socialized with people, other dogs she would snarl at, always runs after the cats, the ones who don't run are lucky the little kittens she pounces on, and I cant break her of that.,, did not know what a water or food dish was. Her fur felt like a brillo pad and very dull. She also had no idea what love was. Also ran after and tried to kill any WILD animal or bird she saw ( we have a farm)

I did some extensive training with her, she now sits and waits for her food from a bowl, drinks out of a water pail, asks to go out ( but she did have accidents until the medicine was finished) You can pet her and brush her, give her baths. She sits and gives paw. She loves to be loved and loves her hugs, and is almost always at my side inside and outside of the house. She is able to be around other dogs now., but is jealous of attention given to others. Her fur feels a lot better now. I am feeding her and the puppies ( softened) Purina healthy morsels puppy chow .

Sylbee gave birth to 8 large puppies a week after I got her. We believe they are mixed with rottweiler, since he had a male on the property and most were mixed that way. The puppies had a very bad case of roundworms and the 3 smallest ones did not make it. Sylbee was just wormed again yesterday for roundworms, and tapeworms again and the puppies I have left are due next week for another dose. There are 5 left, they are very playful, loud LOL, and the colors are beautiful. They are 7 weeks old today, I have 1 female that is black and tan, and 2 brown males, and 2 dark brown with silver hairs, and with black stripes down their back those are both males. They have not had any shots . The puppies are eating and drinking on their own now.

It breaks my heart but I cannot keep Sylbee , she will need a home with a fenced yard mostly, and no small animals especially cats, and of course I cannot keep the puppies. I also have my own personal issues I am going through, but I could not leave her there and see her possibly giving birth outside, and all alone.

I was going to put them on line but I would prefer that they would go to someone who would take care of them, and I believe your rescue might be able to help with that. Sylbee loves to be loved now, and would make someone a wonderful pet.

If you could possibly get back to me, one way or another I would appreciate it, they need to go soon. If you could help place them in loving homes I would be very thankful.
