This is what we're told about Roxy:
Hi! I have a Shepherd mix, Roxy.
Roxy is a fabulous pet! She loves other dogs and children, we took care of a
friend's cat for about 4 months and Roxy thoroughly enjoyed chasing him around. Roxy will be getting her shots this month, but I cannot afford to get her spayed.
She weighs approximately 35 - 40 lbs. and doesn't appear to be growing into a "large" dog.
A little about her history, she was found by a woman, eating a dead animal because she was so hungry. The woman had kept her tied to her front porch for a week before I found her in the hot summer heat. Roxy was infested with worms (her stomach was so large, she looked pregnant) and had fleas all over her. The woman was planning on taking her to the pound. I couldn't stand for this puppy to be shown another life of hardship so I took her home. She quickly recovered with numerous flea baths and two courses of dewormer and has been our little energetic, bouncy puppy ever since. :)
She is crate trained and hasn't had an accident in over a month. Her signal for wanting to go outside is sitting by the door.
She's a fabulous puppy and loves my 8 year old son but she would be much happier in a home that has more room for her.
If there is anything else you would like to know, please feel free to ask.
Thank you for any help you can offer. Roxy deserves more than I can give her.
Just wanted to let you know that Roxy went to the vet today and got her vaccinations and tested heartworm negative so she's good to go.
