Perdita” which means lost girl
This little sweetie was dumped in the woods and rescued by an angel. Her angel has vetted her and this is what she has to say:
I finally had the opportunity to get back to the veterinary clinic last evening to get some pictures of her.
On the bright side, she is healing well from her surgery (spay), her stitches look good, and she is safe. On the other hand, this is a terrible place for her.
After being dumped last weekend, to being placed in a loud kennel, living on wet concrete, next to barking dogs (some not so nice) seems to be very unnerving to her. She has lost a bit of weight and is nervous and scared. She was the only dog not barking when I went back to see her. She needs to get out of there!
She did seem to remember me though and was clearly relieved when we got her away from all the mayhem of the kennel—she wants out! Unfortunately
the veterinary clinic is not in a very secluded or quiet area.
We took her for a little walk, she does pull but nothing a little obedience training won’t cure.
We brought her back through the clinic waiting room and she was so good. A cat out of a cage, several dogs coming and going, lots of people milling about, and she just sat there next to me -- very well behaved. It killed me to have her go back to the kennel.
The vet says she’s about a year or so. We weighed her and she is a touch over 40 pounds. With some good food and care she could use some 5-7 pounds.
I refer to her as “Perdita” which means lost girl, so that’s what the pictures are called.
I really would like to get her out of that element as soon as possible. Please consider giving her a loving home.
