When we list a dog as a "Courtesy Post" we have no control over that dog's destination. Courtesy Post for Owner means we are trying to help an owner find their dog a new home. Courtesy Post for ___ Rescue means we are offering our website as an additional outlet to help that rescue get more exposure to the dog they are trying to place.
Courtesy Post for Owner
JD (pronounced Jade)
This is what we're told:
She is spayed and about 5 years
old.
I have a female German Shepherd I would like help finding a home for. THIS IS NOT AN URGENT CASE! I have her, I bought her as a pup, and she can stay here forever if I don't find her a home, but here is the problem: I train dogs to find lost people, I have a non-profit search and rescue team. I bought her to be a search dog, but she would rather stroll through the woods than work. I have several other dogs, she gets no attention, and lives in my kennel. Now, my kennel is very nice, but she would be so much better off in a pet home.
She is very obedient, and stays beside you and does not run off. She can't be in my house because she does not get along with my small female jack russel, who thinks she is queen of the world. She is great with the other and kids, but has never been around very small kids. She will take a little longer to warm up to a man, it just takes her more time than it does to warm up to kids or a woman. She is shy, but not horribly so.
