When we list a dog as a "Courtesy Post" we have no control over that dog's destination.  Courtesy Post for Owner means we are trying to help an owner find their dog a new home. Courtesy Post for ___ Rescue means we are offering our website as an additional outlet to help that rescue get more exposure to the dog they are trying to place.

Hello,
My husband and I recently found a stray Shepherd Mix. He is a sweet boy, a little timid, and desperate for time, love, and attention. He's very skinny, and we've been trying to get some weight on him. He does have a blue collar, but no tags. We took him in, due to how cold it has been, but have exhausted our resources in finding his home. Unfortunately, with 3 rescue dogs, 6 rescue cats (of which he's afraid), 1 puppy we're watching for a friend, 2 full time jobs, and our 16 month old son, we don't have the time to devote to him that he deserves. 

He is approx 3 yrs old, housebroken and loves to give our little boy kisses.

If you can offer any help or advice, or if you have a foster home available for him, please let me know. He deserves better than what we're able to provide for him at this time.

UPDATE He is doing great!  He was very nervous up until a few days ago.  He didn't really want to play, and was scared of the cats. I'm not sure what changed, but now he runs around the yard like a crazy man with his "brothers" and "sister"!  He is a lot more affectionate toward my husband and myself, and he's now very curious in seeing what these cat creatures are all about.  He will chase them, but he isn't aggressive toward them at all.  We're working with him on his manners.  

He knows sit and down, and he loves everyone. He gets so excited to see new faces! 

He's still a little unsure about my son when he's walking around, so I think a home with older kids would probably be the best.
