Blaze

BLAZE IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD FOR MEDICAL REASONS.

Approx 2 years old

Blaze was found as a stray at a very busy freeway exit by the local Animal Control. The Animal Control Officer felt this beautiful boy was a diamond in the rough and didn't have the heart to send him on the local county facility.  Thank goodness for this man's love of animals. . .

I (Jan) went to pick Blaze up from the local shelter, the ACO had him loose in the facility and I could hear this "big boy bark" behind the door.  The door was opened and I was greeted with this big black dog giving me kisses and tail wags and the attitude of "I'm so happy to see you, really, really happy to see you".  Blaze has not met anyone that he's not liked.

He is currently fostering in my home with Rocky, Gabe and the two kitties. He does do well with other dogs and he's doing fine with my cats.  Of course my cats are dog savvy and know to stay on the back of the sofa and not try to walk across the floor when "mom" brings home a new dog.  So I've not seen how he reacts to the cats on the move.

Blaze needs a job!  He wants to work, he wants to play, he wants to jog with someone, he is not a couch potato.   Having had my own working lines dog and I'm no expert but I would say his breeding is from working lines.  So if you are an active family and willing to keep him busy with playing ball and lots of walks and hiding toys for him to search, he'd be a super addition to your home.  He also LOVES to just be with you.

Blaze is up to date on his shots, neutered, housebroken and just pure joy to have around.
