Courtesy Post for Shelter

AVA - This poor senior girl!! Our hearts just ache for her.

Ava is an exceptionally sweet, small senior who was found near the side of the road and our local pound was notified. X-Rays show no broken bones but she is having a very hard time with her hind legs -- bad arthritis or problems with her hips. We've been walking her in a sling since unfortunately we do not have access to a cart. 

Despite our wonderful warden, this IS a dog pound and NOT a no kill shelter and we are not set up to handle her special needs. 

Poor Ava needs all the help she can get to find her way out of our pound and into a more suitable environment. She is sweet, appreciates the attention she receives and loves just simply being spoken to! 

She deserves so much better than what she has gotten from the humans who failed her.
